NPORS N120 – Plant Loader & Securer
NPORS training and assessment for candidates responsible for safely loading, unloading and securing plant machinery.

In-House Training

Course Requirements

New to Plant Loading & Securing

Previous experience is not essential, although the amount of training required will depend on the certification route and the candidate’s existing plant and transport experience.

Experienced Candidates

Suitable for people who already have experience loading plant onto transporters and securing machinery for transport.

Test-Only Candidates

Candidates should already be competent in:

  • Preparing a transporter
  • Loading and unloading plant
  • Positioning machinery correctly
  • Selecting suitable securing equipment
  • Securing plant for transport
  • Checking load security
  • Understanding relevant transport requirements

Load Security

Correct load security is essential when transporting construction plant.

Operators must understand how to correctly position machinery, identify suitable restraint points and use appropriate securing equipment to prevent movement during transport.

Candidates taking the CPCS A50 STGO route will also need to understand the additional considerations associated with abnormal and STGO plant movements.

CSCS & Health and Safety

Candidates following the CPCS A49 or A50 route will need to meet the applicable CPCS health, safety and card requirements.

Candidates taking the applicable NPORS CSCS card route will also need to meet the relevant NPORS requirements.
