CPCS A59C Lifting Operations – Test Only

The CPCS A59C Lifting Operations Test Only option with Entra Training is designed for experienced operatives who are already competent in carrying out lifting operations using a 360 excavator and only require the CPCS technical teststo gain certification.

This option does not include training and is suitable for candidates who have sufficient knowledge, skills, and on-site experience to meet CPCS testing standards, LOLER requirements, and current health and safety legislation.

Who is this course for?

This option is suitable for:

• Experienced excavator operators carrying out lifting operations

• Operatives with previous CPCS training or substantial site experience

• Workers who only require the CPCS theory and practical tests

Test content includes:

• CPCS theory test (verbal or written)

• CPCS practical test, including:

• Pre-use checks of the excavator and lifting accessories

• Assessment of loads and lifting configurations

• Safe lifting operations within machine limits

• Stability, radius, and slew awareness

• Communication with a slinger/signaller

• Shutdown and securing procedures

Duration:

Approximately 2 hours , depending on test availability and candidate numbers.

Certification:

On successful completion of the CPCS theory and practical tests, candidates will achieve the CPCS Red Trained Operator Card (A59C – Lifting Operations).

Entry requirements:

• Valid CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test (within the last 2 years)
